Thank you for the past 20 seasons. Thank you for giving the Lakers and the game of basketball everything you've had. Kobe Bryant is the epitome of a champion. His preparation, dedication and work ethic is beyond inspiring.
Last night was the end of an era. An era that was so special to millions of individuals around the world. Kobe capped off his future hall of fame career the way we all wanted him to, VINTAGE MAMBA style. The 5X champion, 2X Finals MVP and 18X all-star willed the Lakers to victory in comeback fashion while dropping 60 points. It was a story book ending.
The celebration was great, it was awesome to see all of Kobe's former teammates and other NBA greats meet him on the floor as confetti flew. But the story that was reported this morning is why Kobe Bryant will never be forgotten and why he will be missed by the NBA so much. Lakers spokesman John Black reported that Kobe Bryant worked out early this morning and was at his office by 8:30 a.m. This is why Kobe will forever be one of the greatest of all time. The day after his historic NBA career came to an end, he was back to business again showing us what it truly means to be a champion.
We cannot thank Kobe Bryant enough for continuing to inspire us and for continuing to show us what it takes to be successful.
